Cakesum wasn’t launched with a business plan. It started with a need – a need to create, to express and to find a calm in the midst of chaos. Baking became therapy and decorating became art.
It came naturally and with each cake, the skill grew and so did the reactions. Friends and family were genuinely stunned by what was being produced, not just by the appearance but by the detail, the precision and the feeling that each cake carried.
Before long, the word spread and orders came in, and Cakesum – Cakes by Kulsum, was born.
